On the morning of 08 July 2026, PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) held a working session with the leadership delegation of MISC Berhad (Malaysia) at PTSC’s headquarter to discuss the strategic partnership between the two parties and future cooperation opportunities.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Tran Ho Bac – President & CEO of PTSC, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Hung – Vice President of PTSC, and representatives of PTSC’s divisions. From MISC Berhad, the delegation included Mr. Zahid Bin Osman – President & Group CEO, Mr. Adam Nasir Nawi – Vice President, Offshore, and other delegation members.
During the meeting, the leaders of both parties looked back on more than 20 years of cooperation in the FSO/FPSO industry. As leading regional oil and gas service companies in the provision of offshore floating facilities, PTSC and MISC Berhad have successfully collaborated on various notable projects, including FSO Orkid in the PM3 CAA joint development area (Malaysia), FPSO Ruby II at Blocks 01&02, and FSO Golden Star at the Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet Field (Vietnam). These projects have been operated safely, stably, and efficiently, contributing to a solid foundation for long-term cooperation and affirming the capabilities of both companies in the regional industry.
Building on the achievements to date, two parties exchanged views on potential cooperation opportunities in the coming period, particularly FSO/FPSO projects in Vietnam and Malaysia. The leaders of PTSC and MISC Berhad expressed their shared desire to further leverage their strengths, experience, and capabilities to enhance the value of cooperation, while expanding their presence in key markets across the region.
Representatives of MISC Berhad highly appreciated PTSC’s capabilities in the development, investment, operation, and management of FSO/FPSO facilities, and affirmed that PTSC remains MISC’s most important strategic partner in Vietnam. On PTSC’s side, Mr. Tran Ho Bac emphasized that PTSC highly values its partnership with MISC Berhad and looks forward to working closely with MISC to further develop existing projects, while exploring and implementing new cooperation opportunities in line with the development strategies of both companies.
