Ho Chi Minh City, June 19, 2026 – The Block B Gas Project Management Team successfully held a Risk Management Review Workshop for the EPCI#1 Package to comprehensively assess key project risks, review the effectiveness of ongoing mitigation measures, and align response strategies for the project’s accelerated execution phase. The workshop underscored the project's proactive approach to risk identification, strengthened governance capabilities, and unwavering commitment to achieving safety, quality, and schedule objectives for one of Vietnam’s most significant national energy projects.
Overview of the Workshop
During the workshop, the Project Management Team conducted a comprehensive review of the major risk categories associated with the EPCI#1 Package, covering engineering, quality management, procurement of materials and equipment, fabrication and construction activities, load-out operations, occupational safety, project costs, as well as hook-up and commissioning (HUC) activities. For each risk category, technical and functional teams jointly analyzed root causes, assessed potential impacts, and evaluated the effectiveness of mitigation measures currently in place. Through close collaboration among the Client, the Main Contractor Consortium, and subcontractors, many identified risks have been effectively managed, with their potential impacts progressively reduced and maintained within acceptable thresholds
