President Vo Van Thuong visited and extended New Year wishes to PTSC’s employees

Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) was honored to have President Vo Van Thuong visit and extend New Year wishes at PTSC's supply base in Vung Tau City on January 26, 2024, as part of the Politburo member's working program with the subsidiaries of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group. The President also gave PTSC encouragement for its past accomplishments.

Through this working visit, PTSC had a chance to present its infrastructure and capabilities as well as report on PTSC’s project that has been working on in the field of oil and gas and offshore renewable energy. President Vo Van Thuong expressed his warm congratulations to PTSC during the working program for being the first Vietnamese business to successfully bid and win internationally, implement manufacturing contracts for highly valued offshore wind power projects, and export to other nations (Taiwan – China, and Europe), marking a significant turning point of PTSC’s development as well as putting Vietnam on the offshore global map of renewable energy supply chain.

Amidst economic challenges, PTSC has granted numerous manufacturing contracts in a short period, with a total value of 2.5 billion USD of which the offshore renewable energy sector alone accounts for 1.5 billion USD, and 100% manufactured in Vietnam and exported abroad. These play a significant role in promoting exports, increasing foreign exchange revenue, helping to develop a green economy, protecting the environment, and encouraging the expansion of numerous businesses in the various sectors and localities participating in the offshore renewable energy supply chain.

The President further underlined that encouraging investment, expanding infrastructure and equipment, and building the largest, most advanced painting workshop in Asia-Pacific are all examples of PTSC's proactive efforts to diversify long-term and sustainable business sectors. In addition, PTSC actively supports social security, and the State budget, protecting sovereign overseas and islands and bringing useful values to the community. Furthermore, the fact that PTSC is currently the only Vietnamese business to be granted a marine survey license for the purpose of investing in and developing offshore wind power projects in order to export clean electricity to Singapore demonstrates the State's trust in PTSC's ability to be a pioneer in this field, supporting exports, fostering energy cooperation in the region and between Vietnam and Singapore, and encouraging further digital economic and green economic cooperation between the two nations.

The President stated that the aforementioned accomplishments show strong efforts to promote integration into international trade activities, develop a green economy, and protect the environment both locally and globally while joining the global energy flow. Speaking on behalf of the Party and State, the President also conveys his hope that the Vietnam oil and gas group, PTSC will work together, support each other, and foster regional connectivity to further the development of the South’s key economic region, support the ongoing growth of offshore renewable energy supply chain, and swiftly establish a South Asian renewable energy hub in accordance with the Government's Power Plan VIII, accompanying the Government to meet Vietnam’s COP26 commitment to achieve net-zero emission by 2050. Even though this is a challenging task, the President believes that the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, and PTSC in particular, will continue to succeed and maintain their leadership in the oil and gas industry, renewable energy, and will positively contribute to the country's industrialization and modernization with the help of traditional solidarity, initiative, creativity, determination, and not being afraid of hard work by employees in the oil and gas sector.
