Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) and PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) look for cooperation opportunities in the field of offshore wind power

A global energy transition from fossil fuels to low-carbon solutions is urgently needed under the pressure of environmental pollution impact and climate change effect. This energy transition will be enabled by technological innovation, notably in the field of renewable energy, which is clean, free and readily available. Therefore, many countries are increasingly investing in the wind power sector, including Vietnam. Along with the great possibility for development in the field of renewable energy, PTSC, with its capabilities and experience, facilities system, manufacturing warehouse, port community systems as a leading contractor in the oil and gas industry, has registered offshore wind power into its business license upon getting approval from its shareholder, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam). This will be the premise for PTSC to expand its services in the offshore field which is its proven strength. Accordingly, several members of PTSC have actively participated in providing services including PTSC M&C’s project building 02 offshore substations under Hai Long 2 and Hai Long 3 Offshore Wind Project on Taiwanese coasts and PTSC Marine’s long-term contract for the provision of crew transfer vessel (CTV) for the transportation of personnel and maintenance equipment to wind power projects for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) in Binh Dai - Ben Tre and Hiep Thanh - Tra Vinh province, Southwest region.
