In 2021, the General Meeting of the Shareholders of PTSC has resoluted for PTSC to become the developer/investor of offshore wind projects, making PTSC the only one in Petrovietnam to have full legal grounds to invest in this potential and promising area.
With the experiences gained from the first renewable energy projects in Vietnam – Truong Sa islands (2008) and Phu Quy island (2010) – until joining in recent renewable energy service supply chains, also to adapt to the transition from traditional hydrocarbon to renewable energies and Vietnam Government’s commitment of CO2 net-zero emission by 2050, PTSC has been actively involved in the renewable energy field, especially offshore renewable energy, as a project investment and development corporation.
With its infrastructure, facilities and experience gained from oil & gas and industrial projects that PTSC executed successfully for more than 30 years, PTSC is able to provide full services to the offshore wind power project. Such services including:
- Geophysical survey;
- EPC of jacket, monopile transition pile, offshore substation;
- Transportation, installation of jackets, monopile, transition pieces, offshore substation, subsea cables, towers and wind turbines;
- Supplying vessel for personnel and equipment transfer during operation;
- Operation and Maintenance of the turbine;
- De-commissioning.
