Ho Chi Minh City, December 10, 2025 – PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) held a handover ceremony of the M/V SK PRIME, now rebranded as PTSC PRIME. As the first Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) in PTSC’s offshore service fleet, the vessel marks a major leap in the Corporation's modernization strategy and its capacity to deliver high-specification offshore solutions.

The ceremony was attended by PTSC’s senior leadership, including Mr. Do Quoc Hoan – Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ngoc – Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Tran Ngoc Chuong – Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Le Chien Thang – Vice President; and Mr. Trinh Huu Duong – Director of PTSC Marine, along with representatives from relevant functional divisions and the Vessel Purchasing Team. Representing Nam Cheong International Ltd was Mr. Loo Hin Loy – General Manager of Marine Services, accompanied by other key executives.

Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Le Chien Thang – Vice President of PTSC, emphasized: “The commissioning of PTSC PRIME is a definitive milestone that reflects PTSC’s strategic direction in developing a modern fleet that meets stringent international standards and effectively serves the surging demand of the domestic and regional energy markets.”
Technical Highlight & Competitive Advantage
PTSC PRIME is engineered for high-performance operations, featuring 6,000 BHP, a DP2 dynamic positioning capability, an approximately 800 m² cargo deck with accommodation for 60 berths, SPS (Special Purpose Ship) notation, and azimuth thrusters for superior maneuverability. The ownership of PTSC PRIME significantly bolsters PTSC’s competitive edge by enhancing capacity for personnel transport, drilling support, and the provision of offshore oil and gas services, aligning with PTSC's strategic push toward global market integration.
Strengthening Strategic Partnerships
During the ceremony, representatives of both parties executed the signing of the Protocol of Delivery & Acceptance for the vessel. Furthermore, both parties continued discussions on cooperation opportunities regarding newbuild projects and fleet augmentation, aiming to strengthen a sustainable, long-term partnership.
