On June 17th 2026, Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) held the kick-off ceremony for its SAP S/4HANA ERP implementation project at the headquarters. The event marked an important milestone in one of PTSC’s key digital transformation initiatives.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Ho Bac, Member of the Board of Directors and President & CEO of PTSC; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ngoc, Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Pham Van Hung, Vice President and Head of the Digital Transformation Project Management Team; Mr. Nguyen Duc Thien, Acting General Manager of the R&D and Digital Transformation Division; representatives of PTSC’s functional divisions, branches and subsidiaries; together with representatives of EY Vietnam – NGS Consortium and SAP Vietnam.
As digital transformation becomes increasingly essential for enterprises in the energy, industrial and technical services sectors, PTSC’s SAP S/4HANA ERP project represents not only an investment in technology, but also a strategic shift in corporate governance and operations. Through the project, PTSC aims to standardize core business processes, strengthen data connectivity, enhance information transparency and support management decision-making based on timely and consistent data.
The project will focus on key business modules including finance and accounting, procurement, inventory management, sales and integration with related systems. It is expected to form an important foundation for PTSC to build a unified management data platform and gradually align its governance practices with modern standards.
Delivering the opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thien emphasized that the SAP S/4HANA ERP project is a key step in PTSC’s roadmap to develop a centralized data platform and digital governance ecosystem. Given its broad scope and impact on multiple business processes, units and users across the Corporation, the project’s success will depend not only on technology, but also on close coordination among the Project Committee, functional divisions, branches, subsidiaries and implementation consultants.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Thien also noted that PTSC had conducted a thorough bidding and evaluation process in coordination with relevant functional divisions before selecting EY – NGS Consortium as the project implementation consultant. With the consortium’s ERP implementation experience in Vietnam and abroad, together with PTSC’s strong preparation, the project is expected to create a solid foundation for PTSC’s transformation toward international governance standards.
At the ceremony, representatives of EY – NGS Consortium and SAP Vietnam affirmed their commitment to accompanying PTSC throughout the implementation process. EY – NGS committed to mobilizing the necessary resources, expertise and methodology to ensure effective project delivery, while SAP Vietnam expressed its appreciation to PTSC for selecting SAP as the technology platform for this strategic ERP project and reaffirmed its support during implementation, go-live and post-go-live operations.
EY – NGS Consortium also presented the implementation methodology, project plan, coordination model, responsibility matrix, key workstreams and major risks to be managed. Key topics including current-state assessment, gap analysis, data standardization, system configuration, testing, user training and system go-live were discussed to ensure alignment from the initial stage.
In his directive remarks, Mr. Tran Ho Bac, President & CEO of PTSC, stressed that the SAP S/4HANA ERP project is an important task in realizing PTSC’s development strategy, closely linked to digital transformation, ESG, risk management, system standardization and talent development. Under the spirit of “Transformation for Breakthrough”, he requested the Digital Transformation Project Management Team, functional divisions, branches, subsidiaries and relevant parties to strictly follow implementation principles, adhere to the agreed roadmap, and ensure project quality, progress and effectiveness.
PTSC’ President & CEO also highlighted the need to strengthen the project organization structure, appoint experienced and competent personnel, and link project progress and quality to the KPIs of relevant individuals and units. He affirmed his commitment to closely accompanying the Digital Transformation Project Management Team through monthly review meetings to provide timely guidance, resolve challenges, and ensure the project’s successful implementation.
According to the plan, the project will be implemented in phases, with PTSC Headquarters serving as the pilot scope before expansion to branches and subsidiaries. The launch of the SAP S/4HANA ERP project demonstrates PTSC’s determination to renew its governance model toward integration, standardization, and data-driven management. Under the message “One Vision – One System – One Future”, the project is expected to become a key foundation for PTSC’s journey toward a modern, efficient and sustainable enterprise.
