SEISMIC SURVEY AND R.O.V SERVICES
This is one of high-technology and complicated services with the following activities: Supply, operation, management of seism survey vessels 2D, 3D; Geology survey and supply & operation ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle); Supply support vessels, technical manpower, diving services supporting for geophysics survey, seism survey; Supply under water survey and repair.
The development of such services expects great potential prospects since the increasing development in oil & gas drilling, exploration and production with great demands for offshore design and installation projects.
With the aim to increase the density of the high technology service in the cooperation, PTSC has established PTSC Geos & Subsea Services Company limited (PTSC G&S) to strengthen this service. In the last year, PTSC has completed the transfer of Binh Minh 2D vessel, and successfully operated the Binh Minh 2D in the Phu Quoc region as well as provided services for Exxon Mobil, Vietgazprom, PVEP Mekong, etc; successfully provided the geophysics survey, seism survey for Hoang Long JOC, Maersk Drilling, Quad Energy, Phu Quy POV, CPVL, etc., and was awarded the bid for providing of ROV for JVPC, PV Gas, Dai Hung, Hoang Long/Hoan Vu JOC, Cuu Long JOC, Petronas Carigalli Vietnam, KNOC, Trung Son JOC, Con Son JOC, etc. with high value. Especially, in 2010, PTSC has mastered the operation of ROV without foreign experts’ support.
The total revenue from ROV service in the year 2010 is 511 billion VND, equivalent to 205% of the yearly planning, exceeding many times compared with the last year’s. Profit reached 44 billion VND, exceeding 2.6 times compared with the last year’s.
