This service is developing extensively and firmly with the noticeable achievements with many successful biddings for international bidding, successful project implementations such as: Ruby B Project for PCVL, BO-B/C/D Topside Project for Talisman, Su Tu Den North East Project for Premier Oil. As a leader in this sector, PTSC is positioning itself higher level with more complex and technology-requirements for EPC/EPIC projects.

Besides the offshore projects, PTSC has proved itself with strong capabilities and extensive experiences in performing as an EPC Contractor; thus it was assigned by PetroVietnam to perform onshore projects such as Bio-Ethanol Dzung Quat project; 02 crude oil tankers for Dzung Quat refinery plant; Long Phu 1 Thermal Power Plant project (Soc Trang); and the Song Hau 1 (Hau Giang) power plant, etc. This is such a new challenge and a new opportunity for PTSC in expanding its expertise and business into a potential market. PTSC has started to perform the repair and new building units such as: support vessels and transportation barges.

Under its strategic development, PTSC has primarily focused on developing well-trained labor force (workers, engineers and foreign experts) and investing in specialized facilities, modern technologies and synchronized equipments. Besides, PTSC has established a cooperative relationship with numerous partners inside and outside the country who can help PTSC to approach to necessary resources and expert technical consultancy on complex operations. All of this allows us to meet all customers’ demand as well as confidently execute larger scale projects.

In 2010, PTSC has continued executing the projects of STDNE, Chim Sao, Topaz with high safety performance, ensuring the quality and project schedule committed with the Clients.

Additionally, PTSC has entered bidding and succeeded with new projects such as Te Giac Trang for HLJOC, Bien Dong Project for Bien Dong POC, Su Tu Trang Project for Cuu Long JOC, Living quarter for jack-up, etc. with total value more than 1 billion USD; marking the significant milestone for the growth of PTSC in providing petroleum mechanic services. 

For onshore projects, PTSC continues executing as an EPC Contractor for Bio-ethanol project, the 02 crude oil tankers for BSR, ensuring the quality, safety and schedule of the project, proving the capability of PTSC Quang Ngai in mechanical services; continues strengthen the workforce preparing for the upcoming Nghi Son refinery plant. Concurrently, PTSC has signed and first-commenced the EPC Contract for Long Phu 1 Thermal Power Plant project in 05 January 2011.

For the new-building of floating units, in 2010 PTSC has successfully new built the 02 3,500HP and 4,750HP vessel safely, meeting the project quality and ahead the schedule. The project was granted the “Project in celebration of 1,000 year anniversary of Thang Long - Ha Noi”. On 28 October 2010, PTSC has established PTSC Shipyard in order to specialize the new building services, with the new built of one 2,200 HP vessel, one 5,100 HP vessel to fortify PTSC’s fleet of vessel.

The revenue from this service in 2010 reached 7,326 billion VND, equivalent to 122% of yearly planning, exceeding 134% compared with the last year’s. Profit reached 164 billion VND, exceeding 160% compared with the last year’s.
